Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery/Nose Job) Clarksville, TN
*Rhinoplasty results may vary.
What is rhinoplasty?
During a nose job, anesthesia is first administered. Following this, incisions are made either inside the nostrils or on the columella. The bones, soft tissue, and/or cartilage of the nose are then adjusted in order to achieve the patient’s aesthetic and functional goals. Grafts may be used to bolster areas of the nasal architecture. Finally, the incisions are closed with sutures.
Is a nose job right for me?
- Altering the shape of your nose?
- Removing a bump or break in your nose?
- Creating facial symmetry and a proportioned profile?
- Achieving balance in the size of the nose relative to the rest of the face?
If so, nose reshaping surgery may be an excellent option for you. Having realistic expectations is vital, so make sure to look over rhinoplasty before and after photos while you are considering this procedure.
Why choose Dr. Kaye for your nose surgery?
What will Dr. Kaye and I discuss during my consultation?
Young patients and their parents should remember that full growth must be reached (usually around the age of fifteen or sixteen) before the nose is altered; however, exceptions may be made if the patient’s breathing is severely impaired.
As part of your discussion on your options for surgery, Dr. Mitchell D. Kaye will explain how the nasal structure, including bone and cartilage, can be reshaped to improve the appearance of the nose. Chin augmentation surgery is often combined with nose reshaping surgery to help further balance the patient’s profile, and this combination may also be discussed.
