This is a 26-year-old who wanted a better tummy shape to fit her self-image. She was 5’6” and 187 lbs. at the time of her surgery. She had had a previously disappointing experience with a water assisted type of liposuction done elsewhere, which she found painful and did not improve her shape to any meaningful degree.

Her pre-op photos show a large amount of residual fat in those treated areas as well as loose, hanging belly skin. It is important to recognize that liposuction will never correct large amounts of loose skin. She underwent a Lipoabdominoplasty at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center of KY and TN and had extensive, corrective liposuction of the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, mons and waist and a large skin excision to flatten the shape of her belly. She had a quick and uncomplicated recovery. Her post-op comments indicated that she “was very pleased” and had exceeded her goals. We provide dietary guidance as part of our treatment plan. To her credit, she continued to lose weight with diet and exercise and was 22lbs lighter at her 6 month recheck. She states, “My self-esteem has gotten a boost & my overall ‘want to be healthy’ has increased.
