Is a breast lift right for me?
As you consider whether a breast lift is the right choice for you, we invite you to ask yourself the following questions:
- Have your breasts lost volume after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss?
- Do your breasts seem to sag or droop?
- Are your nipples lower than your breast crease?
- Would you like to restore the fullness and volume of your breasts?
- Can you define your desired result; that is, do you know what you want your breasts to look like after the procedure?
- Are you in good health?
If you answered, “yes,” to one or more of these questions, a breast lift might be right for you.
I’m getting a breast augmentation. Do I also need a breast lift?
If your breasts are sagging or look deflated, breast augmentation alone will often not restore the lost volume in the upper part of the breast. In fact, adding implants without removing excess skin and lower tissue in the bottom half of the breast may make saggy breasts look even droopier. During your consultation with our plastic surgeon, you will discuss whether you should consider a breast lift in conjunction with augmentation.

How is a breast lift done?
Our skilled plastic surgeon performs breast lift procedures as an outpatient service at his IMQ accredited outpatient surgery center. The procedure is performed under deep sedation and tumescent anesthesia. During the surgery, Dr. Mitchell Kaye tightens the skin and raises the height of the nipple, encouraging the breast to adopt a more youthful, perky position and appearance.
Following the procedure, you will be discharged home, and you can expect a follow-up call on the evening of the surgery and an office visit with Dr. Mitchell Kaye on the day after surgery. Because many patients travel significant distances for their procedures with us, we suggest staying overnight in a local hotel to avoid long car rides following the procedure. We have special discounted rates with local hotels; please feel free to ask our patient coordinator for more information.
What is recovery like after a breast lift?
We recommend rest and relaxation for one week following the procedure, free from work or social obligations. After one week, you can usually return to work and resume light daily activities. During your follow-up visits with Dr. Mitchell Kaye, he will provide you with specific instructions on when you can resume normal gym workouts as well. We are dedicated to helping you heal quickly and comfortably for optimal results.

Our Before and After Gallery is a great place to see some of the stunning results our patients have achieved with Dr. Mitchell Kaye.
