At the 29th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery held in Las Vegas, Dr. Kaye was honored with two awards by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the Robert F. Jackson, MD Award, and the William K. Miles, MD Award. These awards exemplify outstanding performance and the highest standards of excellence in the practice of cosmetic surgery.Special recognition was given to Dr. Mitchell D. Kaye for his achievements as both the highest-scoring candidate on the oral and written examinations.
Additionally, Dr. Mitchell D. Kaye obtained re-certification by board exam of the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Mitchell D. Kaye was elected and served as Chief of Staff at Regional Medical Center as well as Chief of Surgery at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in previous years.
For the past two years, he has traveled to Santa Marta, Colombia, with a surgical team from Healing the Children Northeast to provide surgical care to children and adults that have suffered severe burns.
